Hamstead X TPS Redwing

Regular viewers will know how nuts Dan is about classic chorus and flanging, following a life-changing encounter with an original Boss CE-1 and EHX Electric Mistress many years ago.

He's been chasing those tones ever since in a reliable, pedalboard friendly format and after a couple years' painstaking development with Hamstead Soundworks, here it is!

Analogue Stereo Modulator

Redwing - we keep calling it a flanger, but it's sooooo much more than that.

Painstakingly brought to fruition by Dan's lifelong sonic desire and Peter Hamstead's incredible design, it is the wobbly wobbler by which all others shall be judged…

100 per cent analogue flanging, chorus, vibrato, pseudo Leslie and ring mods. Vinyl warps, jet planes, massive dimensions and more. True stereo in and out. Wet/dry or straight mono. When Dan wakes up at 3am thinking about perfect guitar tones, this is the sound he hears!

As Dan says: "Testing them side by side I actually prefer Redwing to my old Electric Mistress! And I've never preferred ANYTHING to that pedal before."

HAMSTEAD SOUNDWORKS

A British boutique amp and pedal company who design and build all their products in the UK.

Electronic design and engineering is headed up by Peter Hamstead. With a background in avionics and radar and many years in electronic design and development, Peter was the perfect person to make Dan's dream a reality.

Hamstead Soundworks have an approach to pedals and amps which is 'never for the sake if it', but because they always believe there is a better way.

With this in mind Peter undertook the massive challenge of improving on Dan's favourite tonal machines and surpassed all our expectations.
