Welcome to the show! We are delighted to welcome back the wonderful Steve Rothery to Schwangri-La. When Steve was last on the show in 2024, we’d spoken misty-eyed about the 1980s TC Electronic 2290 Dynamic Digital Delay. To whit Steve has returned, 2290 in tow, to discuss it in the context of delay sounds in general across his career.
We don’t hear a lot of the actual 2290 today unfortunately as it’s a bit sick, but we do get into the discussion and some sounds using the three other delays on the board… highly inspired by the original 2290.
