Get schooled and inspired in equal measure - what a player!
Welcome to the show. What a treat we have today! The wonderfully talented and extremely affable Remi Harris was in town playing a gig. I reached out to him last minute - Mick here - and he was up for coming on the show, pre-gig. Grab yourself a comforting beverage and join me in getting schooled… first on Jazz Manouche guitar, and then a bonus section on Peter Green-style electric blues.
Massive thanks to Remi for making the time, and to Simon Grove for the guitars and help. Oh, and to Tim White for the heads up that Remi would be in town.
Enjoy the show!

A note on the acoustic guitar recording. You’re hearing a lot of Remi’s guitar simply through the voice mic - a Sennheiser MKH416 above his head. In addition there are two Austrian Audio OC18 small-diaphragm capacitor mics which are brought in when he plays longer passages.
