That Pedal Show – Uni-Vibe Style Pedals: Fulltone, Sweet Sound, Korg, MXR & Keeley

Published on Feb 24, 2017

In this episode we explore the unique sonic territory occupied by that most venerable multi-stage-phase-shifter-with-external-treadle-operated-speed-controller… the Uni-Vibe!
It was originally introduced by Shin-ei in the 1960s as a device for electronically emulating the sound of a rotating speaker cabinet, and went on to be immortalised in music via Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, David Gilmour and plenty more besides.
In this video we run through five different vibe pedals with plenty of help from some fuzz and overdrive pedals, and also discuss pedal order.
