"We’re mixing & matching once again, this time with EL84 and 6V6 power sections

Welcome to the show. Please note your amp[s] need an effects loop to do this…
A few episodes back we took a Marshall 50-watt Plexi and a Mesa Lone Star Classic, and used their preamp, power amp and speaker offerings in different combinations to see what was what. We had so much fun we thought we’d do it again, albeit with different amps.

The concept is simple enough – use your effects loop to separate the pre- and power sections and connect ’em up for new combinations.

PLEASE: Make sure you ALWAYS have a speaker load or dummy load connected to both amps.
