Sennheiser e906 & Neumann TLM102, Mic Comparison, Dispersion Panels… and Jamming!

Forgive us, for this week it’s a bit more millenial-approved, soshal-meedja-addicted naval-gazing self-indulgence with That New Pedal Shed. Or This Pedal Shed, Schwangri-La… or whatever it’s going to be called.
But here’s how this goes. We do all this off camera, tell you fine people about it, and then you ask for a video explaining what we did. So rather than go all through that, we’ll just do it here vlog-stylee, like Zoella or some other modern YouTuber would. But don’t worry, we’re not going to tell you how to get over the shame of wearing the same outfit as your ex-BFF to the hella-good-hair guy’s party. We say take a mid-’50s D-18 and do a wicked Tay-Tay cover, dress or no dress girlfriend. //this is getting scary now, stop.//
Okay, sit back and enjoy Dan and I setting up some of our current favourite stuff to see what we can hear in the new room, after one of us was feeling a bit sad that it sounded a bit, um, sad. We have some new microphones – Neumann TLM102 – and some bits of wood that call themselves ‘sound dispersion panels’. And by golly they work! Much less sadness now.
Oh, and we jam too.
Please enjoy the episode…
